Kidney Cleanse & Rebuild 

A Spagyric Formula consisting of: Nettle Seed, Linden, Marshmallow, Juniper Berries, Horsetail, Raspberry leaf, Nettle leaf & Licorice

Physical effect*:
This blend is designed primarily to flush out and regenerate the kidneys, all herbs in the formula will aid in both of those processes. Naturally, the kidneys will rebuild themselves more effectively if they have been cleansed, and for this purpose one could take this formula along with a decent amount of clean water, or further to that include teas containing similar herbs. Where this formula will really shine is in it’s ability to help the kidneys regenerate, in that it contains nettle seed, which at the moment is the only known substance that has been proven to regenerate kidney nephrons. Nephrons are the main filtering structure within the kidneys and there are about a million of them in each kidney. Most forms of kidney disease or damage equate to nephron damage, so rebuilding these structures is important. The other herbs in this formula serve the following functions: 
Linden: Cleanses and purifies blood plasma which the kidneys are responsible for cleaning. Contains a high amount of tiliroside which has been proven to be protective against acute kidney injury. 
Marshmallow: Demulcent rich herb that is incredibly hydrating and nourishing for the kidneys. The ‘sweet’ flavour of Marshmallow denotes it’s kidney nourishing properties. Has been proven to have a greater anti-inflammatory effect in the kidneys than some drugs e.g dexamethasone. 
Juniper: An excellent tonifying diuretic, Juniper helps to gently stimulate the kidneys with its warming properties whilst simultaneously bringing more vigorous and refreshing blood-flow to these organs. Juniper is also a well favored herb for curing UTIs.
Horsetail: A diuretic that helps to flush the kidneys, but at the same time it imports lots of minerals and helps the body to absorb other minerals being ingested, thus the body is not depleted through increased diuresis. 
Raspberry leaf: A mineral rich diuretic. 
Licorice: Sweet and mucilaginous properties help to nourish the body. Increases the ‘harmony’ of the body which is the kidneys aim. 
Nettle leaf: Anti-inflammatory diuretic with kidney protecting properties, complements the nettle seeds.

Contraindications: 
-Lithium, may increase the amount of lithium being stored in the body. 
-Blood thinners: May increase the effect of blood thinners.
